The Leigh Folk Festival Open Mic Competition will once again take place this year.

Run by Chris Robson with 14 performers from a variety of musical backgrounds, each one will try to make it through to the final 4, with one lucky performer crowned Leigh Folk Festival Open Mic Competition Winner 2025!

Mark your calendars for the weekend of June 28th and 29th, 2025, as the much-anticipated Leigh Folk Festival makes its grand return! Set against the charming backdrop of Leigh-on-Sea, this vibrant event promises an unforgettable celebration of folk music, arts, and culture.

For nearly 32 years Leigh Folk Festival has been a highlight in the Leigh-on-Sea and Southend events calendar. However, the organising committee has made the hard decision to take a fallow year in 2024.

We’ve partnered with 20+ amazing local businesses who’ve all donated a prize for our first annual ‘The Big Prize Draw’. A winner for each prize will be drawn at random. Draw closes 4 July.
