Volunteer In The #folkfestarmy

Every year the #FolkFest Volunteer team is an integral part of Leigh Folk Festival, with an unprecedented number of volunteers coming on board to undertake a range of roles. Every enthusiastic volunteer gets a free t-shirt to be worn over the weekend (and to keep as a memento!) plus water, sandwich and fruit if you’re volunteering over lunchtime on the Saturday or Sunday.

As our amazing free festival grows, so we need more volunteers to keep it fun, raise funds and make it safe.
Roles vary – everything from selling merchandise and collecting donations, running information points, stewarding audiences, traffic management, production runners, tech support and photography to the less-than-glamorous but vital task of litter-picking … the list goes on!

Please note: under 18s can only volunteer to support a parent/carer on any specific shift due to safeguarding requirements. While the majority of volunteer roles fall during the festival weekend (27th and 28th June 2020) some assistance is needed w/c Monday 22 June (this is also the date of an evening Volunteer Briefing session) and on Monday 29 June for small tasks as part of the festival build and take-down.
