Broomdasher’s six unaccompanied voices sing traditional English Folk songs of love and loss, work and play, revenge….. and murder. They’re passionate about spreading the enjoyment of folk music by encouraging audiences both to listen to the power of natural voices and to join in. Having spent many years performing solo or with other groups, they met while singing at Cecil Sharp House and decided to explore the potential of their unique harmonies by creating Broomdasher. Here´s what people say about Broomdasher: “Exquisite arrangements, outstanding harmonies – they’re edgy too! Get to see them“ – Lester Simpson. “A great balance of voices and a superb performance “ – Barry Coope. “Brilliantly evocative and impressive voices” – John Tams
