Bridport Dagger

Bridport Dagger

Like a garage band for a time before cars were invented, Bridport Dagger play intense, scorched-earth rock & roll with the staccato stabbings of Flamenco and melodrama of Portuguese Fado. With a vocal delivery somewhere in between Richard Thompson and Roy Orbison, Bridport Dagger (who take their name from an old pirate hanging term) are the perfect house band for the end of days.” They have recently performed in the Brunel Chamber underneath the bowels of the Thames and also recorded a soundtrack for a Berlin immersive theatre project based on David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. “Swinging beats tinged with rockabilly riffs and moody Orbison-esque vocals” – ID. “Best Discovery” – The Observer. “Harnessing the menacing narrative prowess of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds with the angular guitars and Melancholic ghostliness of early Echo & The Bunnymen” – Drowned in Sound.
