Talking Festivals Fri 22 June / Sat 23 June
Talking Festivals is a two day event to host a wide range of conversations with people of all ages on the nature of festivals and the opportunities they offer – to individuals and places.
On Friday 22 June students from South Essex College will spend the day at Metal. A series of workshops and seminars with industry professionals will inspire, motivate and enrich their understanding of what a festival is – and the wide range of career opportunities they offer. (Closed event).
Talking Festivals: Live & Unplugged provides an opportunity to witness some of the rising stars of the Southend music scene, young songwriters and musicians that have been working with Metal throughout 2017 and 2018 in partnership with SoSlam and with National Youth Jazz Collective. (Open FREE event. Friday 22 June, 6pm – 9pm at Chalkwell Hall)
On Saturday 22 June Metal will be at Leigh Library Gardens for Festival Utopia, broadening the conversation to members of the public. Got something to say about festivals? Metal would love to see you there.
Metal will also be collecting thoughts on Village Green to inform the next edition in 2019. (Note: SAVE THE DATE – Saturday 6 July 2019). Metal are working hard to make this 10th anniversary edition of the event the best one yet.
