We’re delighted to announce details of our first ever charity dinner and auction!
The night will be held in the ballroom of the Park Inn Hotel, Southend-on-Sea on Friday 01 March 2019 with tickets just £35 per person.
The gala dinner is set to draw in 180 supports for an evening of fine food, music and auction to raise funds to ensure the festival can continue to provide free access to music and culture, as it has for the past 27 years.
The evening will begin when doors open at 7:30 pm with a 45-minute drinks reception, all tickets will include a glass of bubbly!
A tasty three-course meal including a tomato and pepper soup, pork belly and a tangy lemon dessert.
Three live acts will perform on the night displaying the diversity of music you can find at the festival. Acts to be announced shortly.
We have a very special guest speaker to entertain you between your second and third course. More information released soon.
Following on from our silent auction the high-value items will continue in a live auction featuring unique experiences and money can’t buy items.
At least £5 from every ticket sale will go straight into the festival fund, enabling us to keep the festival free for all to attend.
All funds raised from the night will contribute towards the annual running costs of the festival. As an event run entirely by volunteers with no official funding or grants from local authorities, we rely heavily on the support of sponsorships and fundraising to keep the event free for all to attend. Leigh Folk Festival is an annual showcase of music, dance poetry and storytelling providing a completely free family-friendly day out to over 20,000 visitors a year across the 4 days. The event has become an institution, loved by so many and an important date in the Thames Estuary events calendar.
We would like to give a MASSIVE thank you to Park Inn by Raddison for their support on this event and helping to make the night possible.
