Limited edition double LP vinyl release for our 25th anniversary

2016 marks Leigh Folk Festival number 25, a landmark year which we going to celebrate with a new, high quality audio release, our first ever on vinyl.

This limited print run will be individually numbered as a high quality double 12”LP release in a gatefold sleeve. The vinyl artwork has once again been created by the much acclaimed Dom Cooper, who has been involved with all previous Leigh Folk Festival album releases, which are still available to purchase from our online store.

Entitled ‘Dog Days, Devil Fish & Darkest England: Songs & Tunes from 25 years of Leigh Folk Festival’. Whilst the final tracklistings are yet to be confirmed, the newest release from Leigh Folk Festivals aims to be partly a retrospective nod to our past, include artists appearing at #LeighFolk16 and a plethora of previously unreleased material, including unheard archive recordings from previous festivals.

Given the long lead times currently required for vinyl production, the target for release date is for the last quarter of 2016. The plan is also to include a digital format version as part of the package, either via download code or as an audio CD.

The vinyl currently only available as a  reward for supporting our Crowdfunder campaign, where supporters of the project will receive a personal credit in the sleeve notes.
