In the interest of safety, reducing waste and to protect our environment, Leigh Folk Festival is a glass free zone, with all pubs and bars serving either disposable or hard plastics. All pubs WILL refill the official Leigh Folk Festival pint glass, which you can purchase at the festival, or online here for £2.
Members of the public are strongly discouraged from bringing any alcohol in glass and may be subject to search upon entry. There will be glass amnesty points, and opportunities to decant into plastics at an additional charge.
There is no alcohol permitted inside Fishermen’s Chapel or St Clements Church, please respect the venue rules.
Whilst there is a plethora of on-site food and drink establishments, which are carefully curated by the festival, including community BBQ’s, you are able to bring your own food and drink on-site (see alcohol rules). We ask that should you choose to bring anything with you, please take it away, bin it and leave no trace. It makes it easier for our volunteers to clear up, and ensures nothing is left behind that could harm the environment.
Anyone seen throwing rubbish of any kind into the sea or over sea walls will be ejected from the festival site by the police.
Indoor venues are subject to their own licensing conditions.
Please check back closer to the festival for the outdoor venue curfews.
