Tom James Scott

Bio

Tom James Scott is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and improviser who currently lives on the North-West coast of England. His work centres around the use of sparse acoustic and electronic instrumentation and borrows from aspects of modern composition, traditional music, improvisation and song. “It’s some of the most beautiful minimalist sound art I’ve been privy to all these years, instinctual, skeletal, sad, and, most of all, expressive.” – Grant Purdum (Tiny Mix Tapes) reviewing ‘The Carousel’ (Skire, 2016).
