Roshi, feat. Pars Radio

Roshi featuring Pars Radio is the music project created around the beautiful individual interpretations of Iranian folk and original songs of Roshi Nasehi. The project features the electronic soundscapes/beats of Graham ‘Dids’ Dowdall (Gagarin, Nico, Pere Ubu etc etc) and has also included classical cello from Rachel Threlfal and experimental cello from Richard Thomas (NOW, The Hola, Arco). It’s an unusual sound world combining Roshi’s intimate singing style with Dids-Gagarin’s experimental electronic powers and at times haunting string layers to create a unique genre-crossing, ‘exotic, folktronica landscape.’

Sonic explorer Roshi Nasehi sounds like she’s landed in London from outer space. Her unlikely palette of sounds and ideas audibly rip up the rulebooks…
