Acadian Strings

From the bayous of Essex, Acadian Strings is a fiddle led band featuring Charlie Skelton and Naik Peudon on fiddles, Peter Dunhill on guitar, and Carol Wilson on double bass, playing traditional Cajun and Creole music spiced with a melange of influences from hot 30’s western swing to the flavours of Eastern Europe. Though recently formed the band, with their innovative arrangements featuring rich harmony vocals, twin fiddles, and dynamic accompaniment, are already much in demand on the festival circuit for their fresh interpretation of the two steps, hot swing twin fiddle tunes, soulful waltzes, and Creole blues of Louisiana.
