The Leigh Folk Festival is a free, open event, held at several venues in the town of Leigh-on-sea, which is situated along the Thames Estuary just outside of Southend. All daytime events on Saturday take place in and around the Library Gardens on Broadway West; from the station, walk up Belton Way, along Rectory Grove and then take the right fork into Broadway West. You’ll find the Library Gardens on your right after 200 yards. All events on Sunday take place in and around the High Street of Old Leigh; from the station, follow the train tracks with the estuary on your right, past the cockle sheds and you’ll reach the High Street after about 5 minutes.
The festival takes place from Thursday 22nd June to Sunday 25th June 2017. Thursday and Friday involve evening events at indoor venues, Saturday 24th takes place in Leigh Library Gardens and surrounding venues around Leigh Broadway with the evening events at venues down in Old Leigh Town. Sunday 25th takes place in Old Leigh at an array of indoor and outdoor venues.

Disabled access is dependent on facilities at individual venues. Leigh Library Gardens is mainly grass underfoot, however does have a series of pavements within it. Lower Library Gardens is only accessible for disabled users via Leigh Park Road (and please note the ground underfoot is uneven).
Old Leigh contains cobbled streets, and on Sunday 25th June is closed to any vehicle movements, we do provide disabled parking on Sunday 25th June on Belton Bridge (please show your blue badge upon arrival at the road closure), and there are smooth pavements to allow for easy access.
